Impressive and even transcendental musical curves – this is how the opening concert of the festival at the National Philharmonic could be described. It will feature the famous Japanese pianist Noriko Kawai, who will perform the Concert for Piano and Orchestra “Andromeda” by well-known contemporary British composer James Dillon created specially for her. The concert will also include the world premieres of Onutė Narbutaitė’s and Marius Baranauskas’s works and a masterpiece for a large symphony orchestra by Francesco Filidei who is the festival’s guest composer this year and one of the most prominent Italian creators nowadays. Conductor – Christopher Lyndon-Gee (Italy-Australia) who currently lives in New York and performs with major European orchestras.
