The Portugese are not ones to hide their pride when they speak about this performer, who has already climbed the Olympus of fado, despite being just 15! Titled as the country’s gem, M. Pedro shines with an unstaged sincerity, having been blessed with a mature voice and feeling a genuine love for fado – and that’s just what’s needed, so that Southern melodies can be revealed in all their beauty.
By the way, did you know that Lithuanians are the only nation to have a word meaning “saudade” (a defining character of this genre) in their language, used to express an unexplainable longing, seeped through every song. Forget about language barriers – at this concert you’ll understand everything.
