Choir COLLEGIUM VOCALE SCHWÄBISCH GMÜND (Germany)

Vilnius’ guests will be Germany’s cultural highlight – the choir Collegium Vocale Schwäbisch Gmünd, that dates to 1984. The collective enchants audiences with their musical emotion, exceptional vocal harmony and flexibility.
And all thanks to the renowned choir leader, pedagogue, composer and cultural figure Walter Johannes Beck, who has directed the choir from its very inception. He devotes a great deal of attention not just to nurturing the collective’s masterfullness, but also to forming a rich repertoire. That is why today the choir’s programme features contemporary music and even folklore alongside church music.
While at St. Casimir’s Church our guests from Germany will be performing some classical music pearls.
