Each encounter with pianist Viktoras Paukštelis is live testimony of how the energy of the entire body, spirit and mind flows through the fingers into an instrument, and comes back to us in the form of art.
Having successfully completed his studies in Lithuania and France, the musician is currently pursuing the status of a professional painter – conveying his creative experiences not just in sound, but on canvas as well. Why? According to the pianist, the piano was like a gift for him, while painting is a recurring necessity.
“This concert will be full of colour. It will feature numerous common experiences I’ve shared with the piano. Sometimes they’re like quiet conversations, sometimes battles, sometimes sad, other times joyful. A concert appearance spans a wide scale of life’s experiences and technical challenges”, reveals V. Paukštelis.
