Can you guess what the German composer Johannes Brahms, the fiery flamenco and Hungarian dances have in common? Here’s one answer: J. Brahms created “Hungarian Dances” based on traditional music, while the pianist A. Filimonov transferred them onto a flamenco fabric.
Asked what inspired this kind of experiment, the performer boldly replies that Spain and Hungary share common gypsy roots...
Come and hear and see for yourselves if this theory is correct. While we promise an exceptional evening, full of inspirational rhythms, melodies dear to the heart, and original musical solutions.
