Even if you’re not a devoted jazz fan, this concert can become a real musical discovery! The genre’s best traditions, French elegance and a dash of Lithuanian motifs – a rare combination, worthy of your collection of summer experiences!
This had been confirmed by jazz vocalist Viktorija Gečytė, who promises to share what she finds important and dear in this concert: “We’ll play a little bit of everything: interpretations of jazz standards, as well as our original works. It is inspired by the Lithuanian landscape, folk songs, so there’ll also be works in Lithuanian”.
The singer will be joined on the stage by elite instrumentalists. Each is a patriot and virtuoso of their instrument, barely able to fit the awards and merits onto one page. So we’ll just mention that the group will feature the legendary double bassist Gene Perla, a stage partner of Nina Simone, Elvin Jones, Sarah Vaughan and other grands, with more to be revealed in an upcoming book about the musician...
