JAKOB LORENTZEN (organ, Denmark)
What becomes of a child protege? The answer to this question can be found at the concert of Danish organist Jakob Lorentzen.
Aged barely 14, he became the country’s youngest professional organist, yet he did not rest on his laurels. To the contrary, he graduated from the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music and continued his studies in Paris with renowned performers such as Christine Paraschos, Pierre Cogen and Susan Landale. As part of his final exam, his performance received the 1st Prize for Virtuosity.
J. Lorentzen is currently an actively performing soloist and chamber music performer who is gladly invited to appear in concert at the most famous halls and churches.
In Lithuania the organist will perform a programme dedicated to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of composer C. Nielsen. The most important highlight of this evening will be this composer’s work “Commotio”, never before heard in Lithuania.
Programme - C. Nielsen’s works
Free admission
Concert duration: 60 min.
