As soon as St Casimir's Church was returned to the community of the faithful, Prof. Leopoldas Digrys immediately set about establishing the Centre for Religious Music here. And now it's been 20 years that the residents of Vilnius and visitors to the capital have been attending sacred music concerts where they can hear the Oberlinger organ. Over such a long time, many of the world's most eminent performers have touched its keys, while this time Lithuania's own patriarch of the organ Leopoldas Digrys and Renata Marcinkutė Lesieur, the artistic director of the Sacred Music Hours cycle, will be taking their places at the keyboard.
Together with the St Christopher Chamber Orchestra, they will be presenting a program full of Baroque grandeur and French elegance.
Program features G. F. Handel, F. Poulenc, G. Bovet and others
Concert duration 60 min.
Free admission
