This year marks 100 anniversary of John Cage, one of the most important composers and influential creators of the 20th century. In relation to this, GAIDA 2012 presents new production of world-famous Portuguese choreographer Rui Horta based on music by John Cage (“Sonatas and Interludes” for prepared piano).
This project is co-produced by Casa da Musica Porto, Salzburg Bienale, KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen Hannover, Festival Musica Strasbourg, Festival Romaeuropa Rome, Fondation Gulbenkian Lisbon and European Network ‘Réseau Varèse’ supported by Culture Programme of the European Commission.
